About: I have an excellent understanding of communication using lens-based media. I am interested in exploring social and humanitarian issues to stimulate transformation and can effectively conceptualise and execute a compelling narrative for long- and short-form documentary projects. I am specifically interested in representations of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) - the nature of visual and textual print media campaign materials, documentary film and the use of viral space (e.g. vlogging) around personal social/psychological relationships with ART, including adherence. The social and economic understandings I have gained from living and working in Southern Africa and Europe, as well as my own personal experience of living with HIV have taught me how to develop elements of positive psychological capital using visual communication.
